A LANDSCAPE TO NURTURE
The landscape of By The Sea evokes the simple nostalgic charm of breach-side living, with a rustic plants such as betel nut, saga and coconut trees. Quiet pockets benches and hammocks complete the experience of a tropical seaside landscape.
For the younger family members there’s a children’s play area called the Monkey Park – with old-style rubber tyre swings, sunken trampoline, its quaintly tilted tree house and even a guppy pond!
And a river to call
your own
By The Sea has, at its heart, a small and quaint river that flows right through it. The meandering Sungai Satu river has been rehabilitated by the cleaning and purification of the river channel using bio-engineering methods of wetland vegetation. These carefully selected plants not only beautify the riverbank – it absorbs the nitrates and cleans the water which is then pumped back into the river.
A strolling path by a natural river allows you to encounter a fascinating and colourful variety of fauna such as butterflies, crickets, various species of birds, small riverine fishes and the occasional monitor lizard.
The lushness of the landscape, the sounds of the open sea, and the soothing sea-breeze of By The Sea can be enjoyed even from the suites. Most suites have their own 4 ½ feet deep and expansive 40-foot long balcony, to welcome in the refreshing outdoors. Large glass windows throughout the development give a sense of liberating openness, from the public spaces to the private spaces.
On the pool deck level, right next to the 40 seater function room, a fully-equipped and state-of-the-art Gym overlooks the rehabilitated river.
