It’s Raining!

As we reach year-end and the monsoon season, news on floods appear and it rains every other day for city dwellers. Here are some things to look out for in your home and yourself!

1. HOME
Make sure there are no leaks on the ceilings/roofs of your home especially during the rainy season. And to also ensure all windows are closed when you leave home so that there no unexpected mishaps when you return.
2. HUMIDITY
When it rains, humidity increases and these may cause doormats, clothes etc to be very damp and this creates fungus and algae to grow. To avoid this, buy a humidity collector which can be easily found in supermarkets
3. MOSQUITOES
The rainy season sees an increase in mosquitoes, so always have a bug spray with you and do not leave stagnant water overnight.
4. HEALTH
You could get a cold easily during the rainy season – so load up on warm soups, Vitamin C and keep warm always.
