Decluttering Your Home for 2024

Come 2024, a new year, here are some ideas on how to declutter your home for a fresher start.:

1. OLD NEWSPAPERS / MAGAZINES
Dispose of the old newspapers and magazines if you have finished reading them by putting them into the recycling bins.

2. BURNED OUT LIGHT BULBS

You can either recycle them or dispose of them as hazardous waste. Store your burnt-out bulbs in a designated container until you can take them to your local recycling center or hazardous waste collection site.
3. PLASTIC CONTAINERS AND BOTTLES

Once cleared and emptied, take them to the recycling center. Do not re-use chemical containers / bottles for different purposes.

Donate your old clothes to orphanages or charity organisations. Recycle rather than throwing them away.
5. TOWELS AND LINENS

For worn-out towels and linens, donate them to animal shelters or other organisations that need them.
6. SPOILED / EXPIRED FOOD
Clear out any expired food from your refrigerator and pantry or look to eco-friendly ways to dispose of them.
7. TOILETRIES

Used up toothpastes and worn-out toothbrushes should be changed, but empty shampoo and conditioner bottles can be reused again.
8. ELECTRONICS / BATTERIES
